The Console Wars are in full swing. To celebrate, I’m taking this time to go back and pick the best games of all the previous generations that I think You (Probably) Should Have Played, one letter at a time.

Check out all the other entries in the Games You (Probably) Should Have Played series if you haven’t already.

Battletoads (NES – 1991)
This is quite possibly the hardest game ever, but it’s also insanely fun. Here I am, 20 years later, and I’ve still never made it past level 3 with the speeder bikes. I’ve also never been able to get the warp to work correctly either, but that hasn’t stopped me from playing it. For it’s time, it had some extremely unique level designs, even if no one ever got past more than 3 of them. It was also one of the few two player games where you had to truly cooperate, as friendly fire was turned off, and you could end up beating each other up if you weren’t careful, but that just made it more fun.
