Friday Five – Fictional Moms
Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a bit better a little better with the help of a top five list. This week’s category: Fictional Moms.
What with Mother’s Day being this weekend, this week I’m picking my favorite Fictional Moms. Most of them are actually horrible when it comes to mothering, but that doesn’t make them any less entertaining. In fact, it’s probably just the opposite.
- Marge Simpson – The Simpsons
- Liane Cartman – South Park – She counts right, even if she’s a hermaphrodite?
- Norma Arnold – The Wonder Years – If Jack Arnold was the TV dad most like my own, I have to include his wife here on the mom list.
- Carol Brady – The Brady Bunch – When you think TV family, you have to think “Brady Bunch”
- Estelle Costanza – Seinfeld – The quintessential “Jewish Mother”
 JohnScott is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch. He has been known to yell at his television when the kids can't put together the damn statue in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. When not writing for InsufficientScotty, he is a Software Engineer for a major healthcare communications company.
