Skybox 1998 Star Trek: The Original Series – Season Three Unboxing

Oh crap, I need more boxes to open, because I’m almost through my backlog of filmed content. I’ll get right on that, but here I open a box of cards dedicated to Season 3 of The Original Series, so it’s not all that good just like in general.

Hope you like Batman, because this old ass set of Star Trek cards by Skybox from 1997 was full of guest stars from Batman. And the deck composition is odd. Just all around a very weird set.

Rittenhouse 2002 Star Trek: Nemesis Hobby Box Break

Here’s a totally impractical box from Rittenhouse again. This time it’s all Star Trek Nemesis, which gets a lot of shit, but I love it. Is it great? No, but is it worse than Star Trek V: The Final Frontier? Also no.

This time both autographs were for people better known for characters they played in other things, and only one of them actually appears in the film, which is a real cheat if you ask me.

This is my least favorite Rittenhouse Star Trek box yet. It was very cheap and they were all posters designed by the same artist for every episode of TOS. The concept is good in theory, but I would have liked a little more variety in the execution.

This is certainly not Rittenhouse’s best work. It’s exactly what it says on the tin, but I just don’t think it’s all that good. Especially for just one autograph per box of a background bit player, but as we get further and further from the 60’s, the fact that they even still have ANY autographs becomes more and more amazing.

Rittenhouse 2023 Star Trek Discovery Season Four Hobby Box Break

Eh, this is another Rittenhouse Star Trek: Discovery box for another season. They’re all pretty much the same, but for some reason the packaging and randomization on this set was WAY off.

I got the best insert I ever had in one of these Rittenhouse Star Trek sets that only maybe 13 year old me can truly appreciate. Plus it was one of six I got, which is was more than I should have.

This is a very strange set, with each card having at minimum 9 different variants, but the cost to autograph ratio was so good, I just couldn’t pass it up.

It’s always nice when I do slightly better than advertised in my pulls, even if they generally were not all that great, and one is a personal duplicate from someone I met at a Creation Star Trek con 5 minutes from my house.

Impel 1991 Star Trek Official Trading Cards Series 2 Unboxing

I wasn’t even aware this 25th anniversary set from Impel had a second series, but I managed to pick this box up for about what I paid for that box of Series I at a Kmart in 1994 for.

Because this was from the 90’s of course there were holograms involved. I would have loved to have shown them to you, but they were very rare, and my box didn’t have any.

Skybox 1996 Star Trek: The Next Generation – Season 4 Unboxing

It’s getting harder and harder to find new Star Trek boxes I don’t have, but I managed to find another old ass box to open. This time it’s a box of 1996 Season Six Star Trek: The Next Generation from Skybox. No autographs, but there was a possibility for a hologram. Skybox did end up making 7 separate sets, one for each season of TNG, and this is the first of two that I have, and I can pick up another two of Facebook Marketplace pretty cheap.

Rittenhouse 2000 Women of Star Trek In Motion Box Break

I know the quality sucks, but that’s just what happens when you try to photograph 20 year old lenticular cards of dubious quality. But, it had a sound in motion card. . . that had a dead battery. Well, I tried at least.

However, I am always down for any autograph for anyone named Andrea, for . . . reasons. . .
