Friday Five – Sidekicks
Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a little better with the help of a top five list! This week’s topic: Sidekicks.
Everyone has a sidekick. That buddy they seem to always pal around with. The Yin to their Yang. The Peanut Butter to their Jelly. The Brodie to their T.S. Or the T.S to their Brody, for all I know they could be your sidekick instead of the other way around.
- Spock to Kirk – Star Trek – “I have been, and always shall be, your friend”. Gets me every time.
- Jay to Silent Bob – Clerks – The original hetero lifemates
- Bender to Philip J Fry – Futurama – “All those times I said, ‘Kill all humans,’ I’d always whisper ‘Except one.’”
- 99 to Maxwell Smart – Get Smart – Barbara Feldon, not Anne Hathaway, though Hathaway is much easier on the eyes (and who isn’t excited to see her as Catwoman?)
- My sidekick phone – T-Mobile – Though it was huge, had horrible reception, missed calls and messages all the time, it lost of all my contacts and data, and it had a blinking “everything is OK” light, I still loved that thing. The real qwerty keyboard spoiled me.

 JohnScott is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch.
