Alien Isolation

Alien: Isolation, the game that seems to be redeeming the mess that was Colonial Marines by doing it right this time around, now has an expansion that people who pre-order the game will get for free.

The Crew Expendable expansion takes place moments after Brett’s death, and will allow players to control either Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, as they explore the Nostromo and figure out a way to fight the Alien. Pre-ordering specifically at GameStop will also give fans “Last Survivor,” where Ripley must activate the self destruct sequence on the Nostromo, then make it to the escape on the Narcissus shuttle.

Sega has confirmed that both of these items will be available at a later point in time – likely somewhere around a half to a full year later, as is the usual trend with game bonuses – but they’ll surely cost extra for everybody else at that point. Still, playing through the classic moments of the actual original movie seems like a no brainer and a long time coming for the games, and this one looks to be one of the best with the Alien brand that we’ve seen in quite some time.

Alien: Isolation comes to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC on October 7th, and the trailer for “Crew Expendable” can be seen below:

He likes to keep an open mind about things, but also has a strangely high amount of fun getting into a rant or good debate. . . which is probably why he was recruited to this site in the first place.
