Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a bit better with the assistance of a top 5 list! This week’s category is: Favorite Space Ships!

Who hasn’t dreamed of flying through the stars? If you’re here reading this, probably you! Space is too majestic to not want to explore. It is the final frontier after all! There are plenty of games, movies, shows, and books that help us feel like we’re there. While they may not always be accurate, space exploration is the dream! This is my tribute to my favorite space fairing ships.

  1. Nebula Class Star Trek – While I assume everyone suspected I would pick a U.S.S. Enterprise, I decided to limit myself to one ship per franchise, and frankly, it’s too hard to pick just one Enterprise as a favorite, so instead I’m going with my other favorite. Sure, it’s just a stout Enterprise D with no neck section, the struts upside down, and an AWACS pod on top, but I love that little guy.
  2.

  3. B-Wing Star Wars – While most people think of the X-Wing when you mention Star Wars, I love the B wing. Mostly because there is no way in hell it looks like a B in any manor. Also I had the model when I was a kid, and it could do all kinds of cool stuff it never really did in the movie, like the ship rotates freely around the cockpit.
  4.

  5. Phoenix Titan A.E. – Not the Titan itself, but the ship Cale and Akima salvage to use to go find the Titan. It was the ship I used in the Titan A.E. online sweepstakes before the movie come out. Don’t even get me started on those assholes at Fox. I should have won that damn BMX bike, if they didn’t change the rules mid contest!
  6.

  7. Axalon Beast Wars – I just love the name
  8.

  9. Gunstar The Last Starfighter – How awesome is it when it uses the “Death Blossom” attack?

Nebula Class

is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch. He has been known to yell at his television when the kids can't put together the damn statue in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. When not writing for InsufficientScotty, he is a Software Engineer for a major healthcare communications company.
