Green Skinned Girls

Welcome to the Saturday Six, where each week I let you get to know me a bit better with the help of a list. Any idiot can do a Top 5 list, which is why I kicked it up a notch to a Top 6. This week’s topic: Green Skinned Girls

As a nerd, we’re pretty much hard wired to love green skinned women. Be they alien, reptilian, cyborg, robot, amphibian, gaseous, energy, or some form of “other”, green skinned girls abound in the worlds of science fiction.

  1. Orion Slave Girls – Star Trek – Be it Vina in “The Cage” or Gaila from Star Trek, everyone has a thing for Orion slave girls. Ok, so Enterprise ruined that a bit by blaming it all on pheromones or some such and making Orion society a matriarchy, but Star Trek is pretty much the origin of the green girl fetish
  2.

  3. Gamora – Guardians of the Galaxy – I don’t read a lot of Guardians comics, but am very much looking forward to the movie, and I love her costume in Avengers Alliance
  4.

  5. Oola – Star Wars – Don’t lie, you know you wore out your VHS tape of Return of the Jedi trying to pause on those 2 frames where her top falls off becasue you wanted to know if she was green all the way down.
  6.

  7. She-Hulk – I’m not a big fan of the Bruce Banner Hulk, but I love She Hulk. I have almost every issue of all 6 of her ongoing series.
  8.

  9. Jade – Green Lantern – Because of course the Green Lantern Corps would need to have a green skinned member, even if she is Alan Scott’s daughter.
  10.

  11. Madame Vastra – Dr. Who – Pretty much the 11th Doctor’s only friend. I was quite upset when she lost Jenny. Fortunately due to some timey whimyness, everything worked out in the end.
  12.
