CZW’s Dojo Wars 24 Results

Well, since I don’t have anything to do on Wednesday nights, and the CZW Academy is only 20 minutes from my house, every other week I’ll be attending Dojo Wars, their bi-weekly “House Show”. It’s 5 matches for 5 bucks, how can you go wrong with that? Because the only way to see the show is to be there, and only a very limited number of people can fit in the place, I’ll let you in on all the details with a full results list, pictures and match breakdown.
 

Sorry this took so long, but I’ve been sick since when this took place, plus I am leaving for Japan for 3 weeks on Monday. Therefore, the next installment and next new post will most likely be Dojo Wars 28, because starting in May, Dojo Wars is moving from biweekly to weekly! Good thing I prepaid for that VIP pass. Due to my sickness and the time gap between when I wrote this up, the details are a little scarcer than usual. Sorry about that. Funnily enough, even though I’ll be in Japan for three weeks, it isn’t until after I return that I get to see Japanese wrestling, in my hometown no less.

• Rex Lawless defeated Kit Osbourne
• Alexander James defeated Dan O’Hare
• Frankie Pikard and Connor Claxton (with Brittany Blake) defeated Ken Phoenix and Nick Berk
• Joe Gacy defeated Stockade to retain the CZW Wired Title

Curt Robinson vs. Joey Janela

 
Janella started with his pre fight “Bad boy” schick saying that we was going to take all our Moms out to a fancy dinner at Chilis. Curt hit a nice Northern Lights Suplex. Janella caught Curt in a Drop Toe Hold, then hit him with 4 consecutive elbow drops to the head, but Curt still kicked out at 2. Janella took Curt from post to post to post, chopping him in in three of the four corners, but as much as my OCD wanted him to, he wouldn’t do a chop in that last corner. Janella went for the Moonsault from the top and missed, and then somehow Curt got another bloody nose, like he tends to do. Curt picked up the win with a wacky roll up.

George Gatton vs. Josh Adams

 
This was a really intense match, with both participants being really stiff with each other. Adams kept yelling “What’s my name!” (playing off his old gimmick), with Gatton countering that “I’m not a joke”. Gatton tried to take Adams to “Chop City”, but eventually was forced to tap out.

Kit Osbourne vs. Rex Lawless

 
The size difference was just too much for KO this week, as even though he hit the Macho Man elbow and a wicked Frankensteiner, he just couldn’t keep Lawless down, and was forced to tap out to the Torture Rack.

Dan O’Hare vs. Alexander James

James hit a Neckbreaker over the ropes, sending Dan to the floor. Dan took off his elbow pads and hit a Macho Man elbow from the top turnbuckle. James picked up the win after hitting O’Hare with The Rainmaker.

Conor Claxton and Frankie Pikard (with Brittany Blake) vs. Ken Phoenix and Nick Berk

 
It’s a shame that after being given a Wired title shot last time, Brittany is relegated to just being a manager this week. Especially after the retirement of AJ Lee, as shes the most AJ like diva around. This week Pikard busted out a new Superman Punch ala Roman Reigns. Conor picked up the pinfall, but I missed all that action, as former CZW Iron Man and Heavyweight Champion, Nick Berk, chased Brittany outside the ring and tried to powerbomb her, but she reversed it into a Hurricanrana right on the concrete.

Joe Gacy vs. Stockade

 
Stockade went for a powerbomb on Gacy, who reversed it into a Frankensteiner. Gacy hit a lionsault, and forced Stockade to tap to the Rings of Saturn.
