CZW’s Dojo Wars 28 Results
Well, since I don’t have anything to do on Wednesday nights, and the CZW Academy is only 20 minutes from my house, every other week I’ll be attending Dojo Wars, their weekly “House Show”. It’s 5 matches for 5 bucks, how can you go wrong with that? Because the only way to see the show is to be there, and only a very limited number of people can fit in the place, I’ll let you in on all the details with a full results list, pictures and match breakdown.
NXT wasn’t the only show in town this Wednesday. OK, so there were no title defenses, and there wasn’t anything as epic as Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch, and no massive swerves like the debut of Samoa Joe, but it was still a fun night of wrestling.
Results:
- David John Willard defeated Josh Adams
- Dan O’Hare defeated Kit Osbourne
- Brittany Blake defeated Curt Robinson
- Drew Gulak defeated George Gatton
- “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams defeated Qefka the Quiet
David John Willard vs. Josh Adams
So apparently DJ Hyde also has a complimentary Dr. Jekyll like face character, because of course he does. He used him this week to take on Josh Adams, who started the night with a promo saying he’s been undefeated for the last two months, and that no one could beat him. DJ entered to answer Josh’s challenge and prove him wrong. DJ gave him so many stiff chops, Josh’s chest was beaten and bloodied. Josh took DJ down and proceeded to knee and kick him, using the ropes for leverage, and then applied a modified Figure Four, but DJ did not stay down for long. DJ hit a Senton Splash, a Sidewalk Slam, and a spear and walked away with the pin.
Winner: David John Willard

Kit Osbourne vs. Dan O’Hare
Kit came out on fire, attacking Dan before the ring announcements were even over. Dan fought back with a nice Delayed Suplex followed by a chinlock. In celebration of the 3rd anniversary of Macho Man Randy Savage’s death, Kit changed up his moves a bit. He hit Dan with an Axe Handle Smash from three of the four corners, and then the Flying Elbow from the fourth. Dan countered with a Pop Up Powerbomb, but Kit kicked out. The size differential was just too much for Kit, as Dan was able to score the pinfall.
Winner: Dan O’Hare
Bell Time: 8:55

Brittany Blake vs. Curt Robinson
This was a slow moving affair, with Curt using his amateur style moves to keep Brittany grounded and prevent her from using her quickness. There were a lot of headlocks and wristlocks, and a bunch of traded Boston Crabs. Eventually Brittany upped her game, and upgraded from a Boston Crab to a Tequila Sunrise. After taking a beating for most of the match, Brittany managed to put some distance between herself and Curt, and then used her speed to roll Curt up in a small package for the win.
Winner: Brittany Blake

George Gatton vs. Drew Gulak
This was a hard fought match that saw both competitors just slapping the ever loving crap out of each other. Somehow Gatton sent Gulak to the corner, placed him up on the turnbuckle, climbed up, and sent him down with a Hurricanrana. The two traded submission holds back and forth. Gatton managed to get in his patented chops and a nice tornado lariat, but Gulak picked up the win with a vicious Cash Flow Driver.
Winner: Drew Gulak
Bell Time: 21:13

Qefka the Quiet vs. “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams
One of my favorite wrestlers returned to the Dojo for the first time in seven months this week. Williams spent much of the bout trying to get Qefka to talk, but he refused, as per usual. Qefka put himself behind an invisible wall, but then opened the door in it to attack Williams. While Qefka was able to hit Williams with a stunner, he was not able to hit Mime Time, as Williams dodged. Williams got Qefka up in a Neutralizer, then forced him to tap to the crossface.
Winner: “Hot Sauce” Tracy Williams
Bell Time: 14:36
