Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a little better with the help of an awesome top five list! This week’s topic: Memes

Memes? Who doesn’t love em? The power of the internet to force feed funny (or unfunny) things down its own throat for extended periods of time is totally awesome right? Because it’s not a thing on the internet until it goes viral!

1. LolCats – Who doesn’t love funny cats?

 

2. Tokyo Breakfast – Because I am a horrible person

 

3. All Your Base – I remember this from back before memes were a thing, I took 5 minutes at the start of one of my software engineering classes to show this to the whole class on the overhead projector

 

4. RickRolling – I particularly liked when Cartoon Network and Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends Rickrolled the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade. I actually managed to catch this live when it happened and was like “What the hell did I just see happen?”
    

5. Star Wars Kid – From back in the days when memes were found by funny named files in Kazaa and Limewire
