Friday Five – Rainy Day Activities

To Friday Five

rainy day

Here on the east coast, we’ve been ravaged this past week by Hurricane Sandy. Rainy days can make for some fun times. But since I am still without power a week later, I’ll just explain what I’ve been doing in the wake of the Super Frankenstorm.

  1. Reading – I managed to read a whole Star Trek novel by candle/flashlight.
  2.

  3. Watching stuff on my laptop – Fortunately I just bought a new laptop, and the battery lasts like 7 hours on power saver. Unfortunately, all my content is stored on my NAT. Therefore, to kill time I’ve been watching old episodes of The Twilight Zone. Not the one from the 60’s, the one from 2002 with Forrest Whitaker, because that’s apparently all that I have saved locally.
  4.

  5. Sleeping – It’s super dark and quiet in my apartment, as all the buildings around me don’t have any power either.
  6.

  7. Walk though/watch the storm – It wasn’t so bad here rainwise, it was all wind, so I was walking around outside rather than just sitting around in the dark.
  8.

  9. Sit around in the dark
