The Console Wars are in full swing. To celebrate, I’m taking this time to go back and pick the best games of all the previous generations that I think You (Probably) Should Have Played, one letter at a time.

Halo (XBox – 2001)
Ughh, “H” is a hell of a letter. I hate myself for picking this, as frankly I hate this series, but it’s really the best choice. While I personally don’t get it and think there are a ton of better FPS out there (Unreal comes to mind immediately) and FPS should be played on a PC and not a console, you can’t help but appreciate how popular the game was. It basically made the FPS console market, and was the killer XBox launch game that made the console a success.
