Games You (Probably) Should Have Played – V
The Console Wars are in full swing. To celebrate, I’m taking this time to go back and pick the best games of all the previous generations that I think You (Probably) Should Have Played, one letter at a time.
Check out all the other entries in the Games You (Probably) Should Have Played series if you haven’t already.
Virtual On (ARC – 1995)
This was a fun, fast paced Mecha fighting game. It had a bit of a steep learning curve, because the controls featured two joysticks you had to use simultaneously. But once you got the hang of it, it was extremely fun to play against your friends on. It was also fully 3D, unlike say Street Fighter II, and you could move your Mecha around the environment in all directions. There was even terrain for you to jump over or hide behind, which made fights much more strategic and challenging.
