CZW’s Dojo Wars 4 Results
Well, since I don’t have anything to do on Wednesday nights, and the CZW Academy is only 20 minutes from my house, every other week I’ll be attending Dojo Wars, their bi-weekly “House Show”. It’s 5 matches for 5 bucks, how can you go wrong with that? Since the only way to see the show is to be there, and only a very limited number of people can fit in the place, I’ll let you in on all the details with a full results list, pictures and match breakdown.
Results:
- Frankie Pikard defeated Conor Claxton
- Nate Carter and Dave McCall defeated John E Rock and Jamelle Harris
- Eddie Smooth defeated both Andrew Wolf and Devious Diego
- Joe Gacy and Brittany Blake defeated Preacher Finneus James and Kimber Lee
- Shane Strickland defeated Qefka the Quiet to retain the CZW Wired TV Championship
- Sozio, Ken Phoenix, and Jay Diesel defeated Latin Dragon, JT Dunn and David Starr
Starting the show yet again was another match between Conor Claxton and Frankie Pikard. While it was yet again very short, with no armbars this time, and they do seem to be improving from week to week. Unlike the last two times, this time it was all Pikard, who got in a nice German suplex, and reversed an arm bar attempt into a pickup slam. Pikard won with a modified figure 4.

Next up was Nate Carter and Dave McCall against John E Rock and Jamelle Harris. It was good to see McCall was OK after the nasty landing he had last time. He started off the match with Harris and they traded hip tosses back and forth. They each tagged out, then Carter and Rock exchanged a series of shoulder blocks. Carter then got off a nice gut wrench suplex on Rock, who then decided he had had enough and left the match. Harris tried to get in some offense after that by himself, but was just overpowered, and lost after a double team enziguri, where Carter held him up on his shoulders and McCall kicked him in the back of the head.

After than was our bonus 6th match for the night (how the bonus was in the middle of the show I don’t really understand, but whatever), a three way dance between Eddie Smooth, Andrew Wolf, and Devious Diego. It was pretty short, with not much to comment on. Eddie Smooth won after a superkick.

The next match was an intergender tag match of Kimber Lee and Preacher Finneus James versus Joe Gacy and Brittany Blake. This was a little uncomfortable, as it was like 10 minutes of Brittany Blake getting her ass handed to her. Lee and Preacher just kept tagging in and out, and anytime Blake made any attempt to get to her corner, they kept dragging her back and double teaming her. It went on excessively long before Blake could mount any type of offense. She finally managed to dodge an attempt at a legdrop from Preacher while she was hung in the ropes, which caused Preacher to fall to the floor. This allowed Blake to finally hot tag Gacy, who went crazy, cleared the ring, and then landed a moonsault from off the second rope. He then tagged Blake back in, and she got the win with a roll over pin on Lee.

After that was a CZW Wired TV Championship match between Shane Strickland and Qefka the Quiet. I don’t understand how you can have a television champion when your wrestling federation isn’t televised, or how that title would then be defended in a house show, but neither of those matter. This was a really great match, even if Qefka had no real shot at winning. He put up a really great effort, with lots of near falls. He even busted out the slingshot not once, but twice. He managed to put up the mime wall to keep Strickland at bay, but Strickland climbed the ropes and jumped over the wall to attack. Strickland retained after a dropkick from the top turnbuckle.

The main event of the night was a 6 man elimination tag match featuring the team of Sozio, Ken Phoenix, and Jay Diesel against Latin Dragon and the CZW Tag Team Champs, Juicy Product, JT Dunn and David Starr. This was a very odd match, as Juicy Product came to the ring in luchador masks, carrying a cardboard cutout of DJ Hyde, which they also gave a luchador mask and treated as a 4th tag member, until Sozio stole the cutout and threw it out of the ring. Starr then gave the cutout CPR and revived him. It was weird. The big spot of the match was a suplex involving all six participants.
- Ken Phoenix eliminated by JT Dunn after a bullhammer elbow
- JT Dunn eliminated after pin by Sozio
- David Starr eliminated by Sozio after double team clothesline from the top rope
- Jay Diesel eliminated by Latin Dragon with a rollup
- Latin Dragon eliminated by Sozio after a Brougue Kick
Latin Dragon then hit a 5 star frog splash, but then was caught in a double team powerbomb. He managed to survive that which lead to. . .
Winner: Sozio

Forgive me if I goof on some names and spellings, I try to research them as best I can, but many of the participants at these shows are new wrestlers so there isn’t anything online about them yet and I have to go by what I think I hear the announcer say.
