Dinosaur Dracula August 2014 Fun Pack Unboxing
Food, Unboxing on August 6, 2014 at 7:35 pm by JohnScottToday the first of my Dino Drac Fun Packs arrived. So here’s my unboxing video, including me eating 25 year old cereal. It’s much better than the gum in 25 year old packs of baseball cards. And I’m not dead, so that’s a plus. . .

IDW and Max Landis team to bring Douglas Adams’ “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency” to TV
Television on August 4, 2014 at 2:26 pm by JohnScottI think it’s in the manual that in order to be a nerd, you have to have read The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It’s in the rules. But Douglas Adams did a bunch of other things besides Hitchhiker’s. Today IDW annouced they are bringing one of Adam’s other works, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, to American television, with the pilot to be written by Max Landis, of being John Landis’s son, that time he had a Nerf War Turf War at Comikaze, and Chronicle fame.

Saturday Six – Shows missing from WWE Network
Saturday Six, Wrestling on August 2, 2014 at 8:30 am by JohnScottIf you’re a wrestling fan, WWE Network is a great bargain and full of great original content. There’s just one problem. I’ve watched all the original content, and most of the pay per views, leaving me with little I haven’t seen already. WWE has in its library almost all the recorded video of the sport of going back over 70 years, totaling over 100,000 hours. Only 1 percent of that is currently available to see on WWE Network, including some pretty sizable holes. So here’s my list of things that are not yet available on WWE network and totally need to be.
Another great edition of Dojo Wars again this week, featuring the 6th in a ongoing series of rematches, a 6 person intergender 2 out of 3 falls tag match, and a title changing hands. Which title and who won it? You’ll just have to find out after the jump.
So this weekend Gabriel Iglesias’ new movie, The Fluffy Movie, hits theaters. That’s a good enough excuse as any other to run down my favorite Funny Fat Guys. And I don’t mean like Seth Rogan chunky, I mean big fat dudes, like E Honda in Street Fighter.

Saturday Six – Random Magazines I Bought For a Quarter
Comic Books, Saturday Six, Star Trek, Star Wars on July 19, 2014 at 2:57 pm by JohnScottIf you follow me on Facebook, you’ll know the reason content has been lite of late is because over the Fourth of July holiday, I hit up massive sales at Frankenstein Comics and Fat Jack’s. I bought so many comics, I had to build new underbed storage for them, and I’m still busy bagging and boarding them, only up through the E’s. But while I was at Frankensteins, they had a box of crazy old magazines, all marked down to a quarter. These are the magazines I saw in that box of old garbage that I just had to own.
This week, in the wake of last weekend’s iPPV, we get six matches yet again, including a rematch for the 5th time, 3 other singles matches, an intergender 3 way dance, and a non-title match with the TV champ for the main event.

Saturday Six – Fourth of July Blockbuster Films
Movies, Saturday Six on July 5, 2014 at 6:25 pm by JohnScottBack in the day, movies just came out when they were done post production. That all changed after a little movie called Jaws. It was the first real summer blockbuster film. After it’s success, studios began meticulously planning their schedule. Oscar bait comes in January. The worst crap comes out in February when no one has anything better to do. But they now try to build their entire year around the three major summer holidays of Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Let’s take a look at the best tentpole films released around the Fourth of July.
