Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a bit better through the magical art of a top five list! This week: Appointment TV Shows.

There have been a lot of shows in my life I made special time for. Throughout high school Friday nights were for The X-Files, and Wednesdays for Sliders. More recently Wednesday became Enterprise night, before that moved to Friday. And so help you if you wanted to do anything that conflicted with The Sarah Connor Chronicles. At the moment, most of my appointments are concentrated onto Thursdays, and let’s just say I won’t be doing anything on Friday nights for a while.

  1. Community – If you’re a frequent reader of this site, and don’t know of my love of Community, I haven’t been doing my job. The most dynamic genre bending show on TV returns in two weeks, Friday October 19 at 8:30. Check it out, do it!
  2.

  3. Parks and Rec – Two words – Ron. . . Fucking. . .Swanson. That is all.
  4.

  5. The Office – Last season was a trainwreck, but Greg Daniels is back this year, am I’m looking forward to how they wrap things up without Michael Scott
  6.

  7. How I Met Your Mother – I fell off the wagon for a while because of my deep seated hatred of BBT, but got caught back up in syndication, and now I really wanna know who the Mother is. The end of the season cannot get here fast enough.
  8.

  9. Louie – I’ve seen Louie’s stage act several times now, and he is by far the funniest comedian around. If you aren’t watching this show, you are severely missing out.
