Friday Five – Oh Shit Moments
Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a bit better with the help of a top five list. This week’s category: Epic Moments!
Sometimes you’re sitting there, watching a tv show or movie, and something happens that makes you jump out of your seat and go “Oh shit son! Shit done just got real!” This week I list my favorite such moments where someone did not literally say “Oh Shit”.
- Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – “What You Leave Behind” – The Battle of Cardassia, which was the biggest starship battle in all of Star Trek. Particularly when the Cardassian ships switch sides.
- Batman Begins – When Batman uses the sonar to call all the bats while he’s in The Narrows.
- The Walking Dead – “Beside the Dying Fire” – The attack on the farm and the setting of the barn on fire.
- Transformers: The Movie – When Rodimus opens the Matrix of Leadership – “Til all are one!”
- King of the Ring (1998) – Hell in a Cell – Undertaker vs. Mankind – “Mah gawd King, he is broken in haff!”
 JohnScott is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch. He has been known to yell at his television when the kids can't put together the damn statue in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. When not writing for InsufficientScotty, he is a Software Engineer for a major healthcare communications company.
