How I met your mother season 9
Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help get to know me a little better with the help of a top 5 list. This week I’m running down the returning shows I’m most excited to see again this season.

It’s that time of year again. The new fall season is upon us. No, not the one with leaves changing colors and the brisk temperatures returning. Well, thats back too, but it’s not the important fall season. It’s the return of all our favorite TV shows!

  1. Community – Obviously. I’m extremely happy Dan Harmon is back at the helm. And if you haven’t been watching (shame on you!), don’t forget Community starts on Comedy Central on September 15 at noon with a 10 episode block of fan favorite episodes, and then regular 4 episode blocks starting Friday nights at 9 thereafter. And check your local listings for daily syndicated reruns in your area, starting September 16th.
  2.

  3. Parks and Rec – The last of the Must See TV Thursday night comedies with a full season pickup.
  4.

  5. Walking Dead – I was kinda disappointed in the way the finale last season was so open ended, but even when this show is disappointing, it’s 12 times better than any other drama on TV. David Morrissey is committed to another AMC show, so his arc as the Governor will probably wrap up this season, so that should be fun.
  6.

  7. How I Met Your Mother – Now that we’ve finally gotten to see the Mother, maybe we can wrap this up. Expect lots of crying.
  8.

  9. Doctor Who – Even if it’s just for a Christmas Special and a 50th anniversary, they should both be really good. Otherwise we need to wait until August for Series 8.
