The Console Wars are in full swing. To celebrate, I’m taking this time to go back and pick the best games of all the previous generations that I think You (Probably) Should Have Played, one letter at a time.

Check out all the other entries in the Games You (Probably) Should Have Played series if you haven’t already.

Super Glove Ball w/Power Glove (NES – 1990)
I really wanna say Super Dodge Ball here, as it’s like my most favorite game ever. But everyone should experience the Power Glove firsthand. One of only two games made specifically for it, this was a weird hybrid of breakout and handball. It’s not a very good game and gets kind of boring after maybe 10 minutes, but everyone should play it once just to experience how the Power Glove actually worked, and see that “so bad” really was true, just like Lucas told us. Rather than radio waves or even infrared, it used a set of speakers that you hung from your TV to emit sound waves that were detected by microphones embedded in the glove to triangulate the glove’s position. And not even like super high or low frequency, but clear loud audible sounds you could hear like a metronome while playing. It was a very odd idea, and no matter how much The Wizard told us it was cool, it sucked and failed hard.

Super Glove Ball

is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch. He has been known to yell at his television when the kids can't put together the damn statue in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey. When not writing for InsufficientScotty, he is a Software Engineer for a major healthcare communications company.
