Friday Five – Top for 2012

Welcome to the Friday Five. Each week I help you get to know me a bit better with the help of a Top 5 list. This week’s topic: Things I’m looking forward to in 2012. Besides the apocalypse of course.

I don’t have a lot in general going on, as I’ve already kicked a bunch of stuff off my bucket list. I, like everyone else, am very interested in The Dark Knight Rises and The Avengers, along with World War Z, Amazing Spider Man, and who doesn’t wanna see Battleship! Oh, Ok, just me then on that one I guess.

1. 25th anniversary of Star Trek The Next Generation – As part of this, I plan on attending my first true Trek Convention in May.

 

2. Return of Community – The best written show on TV. If you aren’t watching, you need to be. #SixSeasonsAndAMovie!!!!

 

3. NYCC – The largest comic show I’ve been to besides ComicFest 93.

 

4. American Reunion, because I’m a nostalgic old man who appreciates the subject matter.

 

5. Return of the 90’s to comics  – In particular, I’ve kinda bought into the hype of Avengers vs. X-men. I always loved Cable and his bad ass pouches. Also, the return to the Age of Apocalypse, the return of Scarlet Spider, Extreme Studios rebirth (including an ongoing Glory and Avengelyne titles)

JohnScott is the proud owner of a life size replica Captain Kirk Chair. He is a hoarder of Comic Books, Transformers, and Star Trek action figures. He attended Space Camp as an adult. He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch. He has been known to yell at his television when the kids can't put together the damn statue in the Shrine of the Silver Monkey.
