Taco Bell unveils new Mountain Dew A.M.

What nerd doesn’t love Taco Bell and Mountain Dew? None that I know. Even though Taco Bell Breakfast won’t be fully nationwide until sometime in 2014, they have unveiled a new “Breakfast Dew” for those times when you play games all night long and then get a hankering for tacos. The new “Mountain Dew A.M.” is a mix of classic Mountain Dew and Orange Juice, so it’s like a Mimosa, but not in any way classy. Personally, the only thing I ever found that mixed well with Mountain Dew was Code Red and Peach Schnapps, which is absolutely delicious. So if your Taco Bell has breakfast, give it a shot, or make some up on your own and let me know what you think.

Friday Five – Sidekicks

To Friday Five

Everyone has a sidekick. That buddy they seem to always pal around with. The Yin to their Yang. The Peanut Butter to their Jelly. The Brodie to their T.S. Or the T.S to their Brody, for all I know they could be your sidekick instead of the other way around.

Happy Geek Pride Day!

To Captain's Log

Today is Geek Pride Day (also Towel Day). So be sure to let your geek flag (preferably one made of a towel) fly high today. Give everyone the Vulcan Salute, talk in the Batman voice all day, discuss who shot first, wear your best Avengers shirt, and just all around do whatever you like to show off you’re a geek and aren’t afraid to show it.

Why has no one done this before? – Ice Cream Burgers

To Food

Ever since Taco Bell stopped selling Choco Tacos, there has been a definitive lack of food made to look like other food available in the fast food industry. Sure, as we previously reported, there was the Hot Dog Stuffed Pizza, but fortunately Carl’s Jr. has stepped in to help fill that void.

Nerdgasm!!!!

So while the first meeting of all five captains was planned to be at Destination Star Trek London come this fall, it turns out it’s actually going to happen in less than two weeks at Wizard World Philly. This isn’t even happening at the big annual Las Vegas Creation Official Star Trek Convention. Scott Bakula (Enterprise), William Shatner (Original Series), Avery Brooks (Deep Space Nine), and Kate Mulgrew (Voyager) were already scheduled to appear. However Patrick Stewart (Next Generation) was supposedly busy with the London Olympics. But apparently his scheduled has cleared up, and he’ll be able to fly in for a Saturday appearance.

I’ll be there front and center to keep you appraised of this historic event, so stay tuned for more!

Friday Five – Marathon Snacks

Posted By on May 18, 2012 at 3:23 pm
To Food, Friday Five

I haven’t really done any gaming marathons in a long time, since I was a Destruction Warlock in WoW running Kara and Gruul’s Lair waaaaay back in the day. Star Trek Online isn’t really a “marathon” type game, as it doesn’t have any content that takes longer than 45 minutes. But I’ve marathoned Star Trek or Planet of the Apes or Clerks movies many a time.

New Amazing Spider-Man preview

To Movies

So apparently during the premiere of the new season of Americas Got Talent, there was a new 4 minute long sneak peak of Amazing Spider Man. Gotta say, the more I see, the more I get excited. I don’t expect the totally awesomeness that was The Avengers, but it looks damn promising. Did you miss it too? Well that’s what I’m here for. Watch it after the jump.

Friday Five – Cereals

To Food, Friday Five

What can I say, my taste in cereal is like my taste in drinks. Things that are fruity and taste good.

Sunday was the last day of the show, with appearances by Levar Burton, Chase Masterson, Brent Spiner, and Jonathan Frakes.

Saturday was the big day this year, featuring Gary Graham, Morgan Gendel, Tim Russ, concerts from Gary Graham and Tim Russ, and the one and only Sir Patrick Stewart.
