Welcome to the Friday Five! Each week I help you get to know me a bit better with the help of a top five list! This week’s category: Shows You Can’t Skip!

There are just some shows on TV that draw you in no matter what you’re doing. If you are scrolling through channels and see it’s on, you’ll stop and watch, no matter how far along in the episode it is. Here’s my list of shows I will always watch whenever they are on.

I swear, I’m not a serial killer. Honest!

  1. Forensic Files – Much like Shirley on Community, I love this show. Any time it’s on, I will watch this, even if I’ve seen it a million times and know the details of the case already. I love watching idiots get busted because they forgot to use a vacuum and burn evidence then throw it in a sewer. No one ever thinks ahead.
  2.

  3. Lockup – I love this MSNBC series about life in jail. It always makes me feel a little better about my station in life.
  4.

  5. The People’s Court/Any court show – Be it The People’s Court, Judge Judy, Divorce Court, Judge Alex, Judge Mathis, Judge Mills Lane, Judge Joe Brown, or Power of Attorney, I love watching court shows. I’ve seen so many, I’m practically a fully qualified paralegal.
  6.

  7. Spongebob Squarepants – When there isn’t anything else to watch, there is almost always an episode of Spongebob on, which is an innocuous way to spend a half hour.
  8.

  9. Futurama – Not so much with the Comedy Central episodes, but I never missed any of the first run episodes any time they were on Cartoon Network.

He has taken vacations to the closing of the Star Trek Experience and the final night Shuttle launch.
