Happy Halloween

I’m still reeling from the effects of Sandy the Frankenstorm, and am without power at home, so content may be light for a while. However, in the spirit of today being Halloween, here is a picture I colored of a pumpkin patch. Enjoy! Have a happy Halloween, and stay safe.

Friday Five – Dream Vacations

To Friday Five

I almost never take vacations in the conventional sense. Well, technically, I take time off off to go to various conventions. But those are never relaxing. I almost always return more exhausted than when I left. What I need is a vacation where I don’ have to work, and can just enjoy myself. That’s the dream!

Why all the worrying about flesh wounds on ‘The Walking Dead’?

The Walking Dead

Warning – Spoilers abound for last night’s episode ahead. If you aren’t all caught up, read at your own peril.

So I was watching last nights episode of The Walking Dead, and something struck me as odd. Without spoiling it before the jump, to put it simply, several people have been injured of late on the show, which have lead to some extreme consequences. I say these consequences are all a big over reaction. Why the big deal about the flesh wounds?

Community returns someday, just not today

Greendale Flag - E Pluribus Anus

Tonight was supposed to be the season four premier of Community. However, the powers that be over at Kabletown couldn’t come to a consensus as to when to actually air it or how to promote it. So for now, it just kind of dangles hauntingly in the ether, teasing us of an eventual return we know not when. The most likely scenario now that Animal Practice is canceled (which frees up Annie’s Boobs), is Whitney takes Animal Practice‘s place, and Community returns midseason replacing either 30 Rock or Up All Night. Which means we’ll be watching Halloween themed episodes for Valentine’s Day, but it’s a sacrifice we’re willing to make. I’ll just let Troy and Abed explain it . . .

Friday Five – Famous People You’d Like To Meet (Dead or Alive)

To Friday Five

I’ve met a few famous people in my days, usually at conventions or some such. That is if you can call paying to have them sign something and seeing them for 8 seconds “meeting” them. The dream is to run into someone famous at like fancy restaurant, and then invite you to eat with them, and you talk for a while, and leave with a new best friend. It never happens that way, but it would be awesome if it did.

Take It Or Leave It – October 17, 2012

To Take It Or Leave It

I had a very light week this week, with almost all my regular books being a middle issue of a mini series, so I only really have one thing to that’s reviewable (Avengers vs. X-Men: Consequences #2).

You may have noticed I’ve been a little light on content this week. That’s because I was at a wedding yesterday. I’m still pretty hung over, so here’s an automated double sized post as a present to the bride and groom. One list for each of them of the best weddings in pop culture!

Friday Five – Appointment TV Shows

Posted By on October 5, 2012 at 3:12 pm
To Friday Five, Television

There have been a lot of shows in my life I made special time for. Throughout high school Friday nights were for The X-Files, and Wednesdays for Sliders. More recently Wednesday became Enterprise night, before that moved to Friday. And so help you if you wanted to do anything that conflicted with The Sarah Connor Chronicles. At the moment, most of my appointments are concentrated onto Thursdays, and lets just say I won’t be doing anything on Friday nights for a while.
