Saturday Six – Favorite Redheads
Welcome to the Saturday Six, where each week I let you get to know me a bit better with the help of a list. Any idiot can do a Top 5 list, which is why I kicked it up a notch to a Top 6. This week’s topic: Favorite Redheads
Lucille Ball. Shirley Temple. Molly Ringwald. Lindsay Lohan. Alyson Hannigan. Lita. Queen Elizabeth I. Ronald Mcdonald. What do they all have in common? They’re all redheads. Everyone loves redheads. Only about 1% of the population naturally has red hair, so being a redhead has a certain mysterious allure to it. Unless they also have freckles. Then they are a ginger and have no soul.
This was particularly hard this week to limit this to just six, particularly when sticking to natural redheads.
- Christina Hendricks – I know she’s not a natural redhead. But she’s been dying her hair continuously since she was 10 years old, so I think that is enough dedication to let it slide. I’ve been a big fan of hers ever since back in her MTV’s Undressed days.
- Kari Byron – I think she doesn’t get the credit she deserves in the redhead community, and always gets left off everyone’s redhead list. So I’m putting her right near top of mine.
- Karen Gillan – My favorite of all the Doctor’s companions. She was certainly the most fun to follow during her time in the TARDIS.
- Miss Elizabeth – The first lady of wrestling. She brought such grace and class to the ring. Probably my first crush as a child. How could you not love her? She just barely gets the pick for red headed diva over Lita, as Eva Maria doesn’t count for anything.
- Emma Stone – She just seems like she’s such a cool chick and would be fun to hang around with. Plus all her movies (minus Movie 43) are all really good.
- Alyssa Campanella – Though she’s from Freehold, which is technically North Jersey, I won’t hold it against her.
