Another year of WizardWorld has come and gone, and while I’m exhausted and a fair deal poorer than when it all started, I managed to survive. So what all happened? Read onwards and we’ll tell you! If you’re looking for the Captains Panel coverage, move straight to page 2.

All Five Star Trek Captains to appear at Wizard World Philly!!!

Nerdgasm!!!!

So while the first meeting of all five captains was planned to be at Destination Star Trek London come this fall, it turns out it’s actually going to happen in less than two weeks at Wizard World Philly. This isn’t even happening at the big annual Las Vegas Creation Official Star Trek Convention. Scott Bakula (Enterprise), William Shatner (Original Series), Avery Brooks (Deep Space Nine), and Kate Mulgrew (Voyager) were already scheduled to appear. However Patrick Stewart (Next Generation) was supposedly busy with the London Olympics. But apparently his scheduled has cleared up, and he’ll be able to fly in for a Saturday appearance.

I’ll be there front and center to keep you appraised of this historic event, so stay tuned for more!

Official Creation Star Trek Con Philadelphia 2012 Day 1 Coverage

Friday was a very light day, with appearances from Suzie Plakson, Hallie Todd, Eric Menyuk, Robin Curtis, and the Gold Members party.

So, even though, as I mentioned earlier, today is traditionally all about Star Wars, I spent most of my day (the part that wasn’t watching The Avengers. Seriously, how good was that?) over at The Official Creation Star Trek Convention. This is both my first real Star Trek Con, and my first con run by Creation, and let me just say, it’s a lot different than what I was expecting.

Happy First Contact Day!

On this day in 2063, Earthicans will make first contact with beings from another world, namely the Vulcans. At least, that is, according to Star Trek. So get into the spirit today by shaking peoples hands, giving them the Vulcan Salute, telling them to “Live Long and Prosper”, and of course, listen to some Steppenwolf. And if you happen to play Star Trek Online, there is a new event today where you can go to the Utopia Planetia shipyards on Mars and get your very own replica Phoenix.

Peace and Long Life to you all!

Star Trek Movie Action Figures

More news out of ToyFair. Looks like Star Trek is getting some much needed love (compared to its whored out spiritual brother, Star Wars), and Hasbro has announced a new line of Star Trek Toys. We’ll have to wait a bit (the line is tied to the new movie and has an intended release date of early 2013)
