To Take It Or Leave It

I had a late lunch meeting today, so my time at my Local Comic Shop was limited, and I only picked up a few issues this week. So I’ll only be reviewing Superman #31, Star Trek #33, and Fantastic Four #5 today. Not one of my better weeks.

To Comic Books

Have you ever wondered how Battlestar Galactica would look in a steampunk setting instead of the a futuristic (or *spoiler* distant past) one? Well wonder no longer, because Dynamite is releasing a new series all about it, in Steampunk Battlestar Galactica: 1880. You can read the full press release with more details after the jump.

To Take It Or Leave It

I’m gonna do this a little differently this week, since the first 3 parts of Superman: Doomed all shipped together this week, I’m going to take them all on as a whole. And then some Star Trek for good measure. Because of course I would.

To Take It Or Leave It

It’s been quite a while since I did one of these, but hopefully I can start doing them more regularly. I pick things back up this week with two number ones, Original Sin #1 and Chaos #1

Friday Five – Spider Man Villains

To Comic Books, Friday Five

So this weekend is the big release of Amazing Spider-Man 2. It looks like it might be pretty OK, but I’m not running out to see it immediately like I was with Captain America. Regardless, in honor of the new film, I’m picking my favorite Spider Man villains this week.

“City on the Edge of Forever” is one of the greatest episodes of Star Trek, let alone television, ever produced. But there has been controversy surrounding it since day one. Harlan Ellison’s original teleplay was rewritten so many times, that only two of his lines made it from script to screen. Now, for the first time, Harlan’s original version is being presented to a mass audience in the form of a comic book miniseries from IDW. Read the full details after the jump.

Well here’s something I’ve never seen before: an animated trailer for a comic book. I’m all about a follow up to X-Men: Battle of the Atom and love me some Salvador Larocca, so I will definitely be checking this out.
