Saturday was the big day this year, featuring Gary Graham, Morgan Gendel, Tim Russ, concerts from Gary Graham and Tim Russ, and the one and only Sir Patrick Stewart.
Friday was a very light day, with appearances from Suzie Plakson, Hallie Todd, Eric Menyuk, Robin Curtis, and the Gold Members party.
So, even though, as I mentioned earlier, today is traditionally all about Star Wars, I spent most of my day (the part that wasn’t watching The Avengers. Seriously, how good was that?) over at The Official Creation Star Trek Convention. This is both my first real Star Trek Con, and my first con run by Creation, and let me just say, it’s a lot different than what I was expecting.

Friday Five – Star Wars Day Edition!
With today being May 4th, even though I’m at the Star Trek Con, I thought I would do something Star Wars related.
I used to be huge into Star Wars. Back when AOL was only 5 hours a month, I spent those 5 hours in a 1 hour Star Wars trivia chatroom each Friday night. But then the dark day came on May 19, 1999, and I decided to switch my primary allegiance to Star Trek.

Grimm Fairy Tales Kickstarter a Success!
A little over a hour ago, Zenescope’s Kickstarter campaign for a Grimm Fairy Tales animated series closed out. How did they do? Well, their target was $175,000. They managed to raise $188,970 between 1,174 donors, with about $$127 coming yours truly. I couldn’t be happier that this is going to really happen.
Keep turned here for further details as they become available.

Friday Five – Annoying Ringtones
Cell phones are ubiquitous these days. Everyone has one, and just about everyone thinks they have to best ringtone ever. I’m here to tell you, no, no you don’t. Pretty much every ring tone is annoying. It’s that way by design so you pick up the phone as soon as possible. Some are just worse than others.

Friday Five – X-Men
I’ve always been a big X-Men fan. The Animated Series came out when I was in 6th grade, and I’ve seen every episode multiple times, including at least 3 times I sat down and watched all 76 episodes in a row in a short span. I still have my VHS Tape, cup and placemat from the Pizza Hut promo. It was also one of the few series I read regularly at the time, I had all the issues of Uncanny from 281 (coincides with X-Men, Vol 2 #1) all the way up through and past Jean and Scott’s wedding to the Age of Apocalypse and most of the corresponding X-Men issues until I lost interest in comics the first time.

Friday Five – Avengers Assemble!
In the spirit of Avengers vs. X-men, for this week and next week, I’m gonna draft my own Avengers and X-Men teams respectively.
Most of my exposure to the ‘A’ team was through their West Coast Branch, because for some reason I bought a copy of Avengers West Coast #1 simply because I could when I was a kid. I’m gonna try to avoid the big names and go with a more offbeat list. While I could just use the Fantastic Four and Spider Man (really, look it up), here’s my list.
