Topps Best of WWE 2013 Blaster Box Break

Finally we hit what in my mind was peek modern WWE, in this Best of 2013 set. I’m probably biased since I actually went to WrestleMania 29 in 2013. While this is one of the few sets they were options for that we’ve opened so far, but no insert from either CM Punk or AJ Lee, my two favorite wrestlers. And so the search goes on. . .

Saturday Seven – Modern Christmas Songs

To Music, Saturday Six

I have been holding onto this list for like 5 years. It’s always been in the hopper, it just never got done. But with Christmas being on a Sunday this year, I don’t think I’m ever going to get a better year to actually pull the trigger and do the damn thing, so here we go. And because I’m indecisive and that’s part of why this took so long, I just went ahead and made it supersized, like an old school episode of The Office, and bumped it up from 6 songs to 7. As you can see, my concept of Christmas was formed watching MTV in about 1987.

This was one of the very last WWE sets Topps made. Was it their finest? Probably not, but I did get my finest autograph yet besides that 1/1 printing plate. Sure I finally got a multi-autographed card, but they also doubled up and the other autograph in the box was one of those three signatures. It’s like rain, on your wedding day.

I can’t move my neck at the moment, so I’ll keep this brief. At the time it was recorded, this was Panini’s big cash grab, but they’ve since come along with an even bigger one. Why would you build a base set that costs at minimum $1000? Ain’t nobody got time for that! I say these aren’t worth it, just stick with the Prizms.

Panini 2022 WWE NXT 2.0 Hobby Box unboxing

This week it’s Panini’s first crack at WWE NXT cards. For a first run not too bad, I’m just salty I didn’t get my relic card and my auto is for the worst member of Toxic Attraction. But for only $72 for a whole box containing the complete set of 125 base cards, this is the most economical of all the Panini WWE sets so far. But still too much NXT UK for my tastes.
