Saturday Six – Cartoon Redheads

Posted By on May 31, 2014 at 11:58 am
To Saturday Six, Television

OK, so last week, I kinda messed up. It’s been pointed to to me that not only is Christina Hendricks not a real redhead, neither is Alyssa Campanella or Emma Stone. 3/6 is not good. So this week I plan to rectify that with a list I can’t possibly screw up, assuming I am not colorblind, and I don’t believe that I am. So this week, it’s limited to cartoon redheads.

Sony’s popular PlayStation Plus program will be seeing some changes in how the free games are handled in the coming months.

Take it Or Leave It – May 28, 2014

To Take It Or Leave It

I had a late lunch meeting today, so my time at my Local Comic Shop was limited, and I only picked up a few issues this week. So I’ll only be reviewing Superman #31, Star Trek #33, and Fantastic Four #5 today. Not one of my better weeks.

No, that’s not a typo or a joke; EA has confirmed that the next installment in the Battlefield franchise tells a very different story than we’re used to from the series.

Saturday Six – Favorite Redheads

To Saturday Six

Lucille Ball. Shirley Temple. Molly Ringwald. Lindsay Lohan. Alyson Hannigan. Lita. Queen Elizabeth I. Ronald Mcdonald. What do they all have in common? They’re all redheads. Everyone loves redheads. Only about 1% of the population naturally has red hair, so being a redhead has a certain mysterious allure to it. Unless they also have freckles. Then they are a ginger and have no soul.

Twitch TV Becoming a Part of the Google Family?

Posted By on May 20, 2014 at 6:06 pm
To Tech, Video Games

If the reports hold true, it seems that Twitch, the popular game broadcasting website, is next in line for Google’s world domination plans.

The newest wave in The Simpsons Top 25 Greatest Guest Stars figurines allows you to combine your love of The Simpsons with WWE, Magic (non-The Gathering type),or Star Trek. If your current Bret Hart or Spock figures aren’t cartoony enough, or you really wanted to make a Penn and Teller or Stephen King diorama, these just might be for you. I can remember almost all the other appearances in the line, but I had no idea the “Excellence of Execution” was ever on The Simpsons. Or that he parlayed that appearance into voice acting on the Canadian cartoon Jacob Two-Two, based on the popular children’s book series. You learn something new every day! Wave Three should just be hitting shelves now, and with any luck you can still find Waves 1 and 2.

To Comic Books

Have you ever wondered how Battlestar Galactica would look in a steampunk setting instead of the a futuristic (or *spoiler* distant past) one? Well wonder no longer, because Dynamite is releasing a new series all about it, in Steampunk Battlestar Galactica: 1880. You can read the full press release with more details after the jump.

Saturday Six – First Concerts You Ever Attended

Posted By on May 17, 2014 at 8:30 am
To Music, Saturday Six

Last week I talked about how I didn’t get to attend the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Coming Out of Their Shells tour. So this week I thought I’d go through a list of tours that I actually did get to attend. Only music tours though, so no discussing my trips to the Ice Capades, or the Masters of the Universe Power Tour, the He-Man and She-Ra themed roller skate tour (yes, that was a real thing that I actually attended in 1987 when I was 6).
